Hi I’m Jenny

I am passionate about my family and the City we call home. I enjoy volunteering, being engaged in the civic process, and I am driven to constantly educate myself on how to better serve Worcester.

I grew up in a big Irish and Italian family always surrounded by a community of people. My mom was a homemaker and my dad worked in construction.

I graduated from Worcester State University with a bachelors in history, and spent most of my 20s bouncing around from Boston to New York City, landing in Worcester in between moves. I came back to Worcester over a decade ago and waitressed at Armsby Abbey and Joey’s. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Clark University in 2016, but put my career on hold to start a family. Clementine was born in 2017, Bixby arrived almost exactly two years later, and Marigold was last but not least in 2021.

I am fortunate to work part time as editor at Pulse Magazine and CM Pride, which allows me to state home with my kids. Clementine will be in the first grade at Thorndyke next year. My partner Nate is a photographer at the American Antiquarian Society, and he is active in ArtsWorcester. I’m currently a member of the League of Women Voters, on the Citizen Advisory Council, and I’m in my last semester at Clark University for a Masters in Public Administration.

Here’s what matters to me

  • I will fight for better quality city services like snow removal, litter removal, and crosswalk and road repair. Constituent services are a top priority for me. You’ll always have my number and I’ll always pick up the phone and be your advocate.

  • As a neighborhood association leader, I work with residents, local groups, and police to keep the community safe. I’ll be a champion for seniors from improving in-home care to providing property tax relief so that they can afford to stay in their homes.

  • We need strategic city-wide planning, including Greendale revitalization. We need a tax system that saves homeowners money. We need more housing available to ensure that our children can afford to stay in the neighborhood they grew up in.

  • Our kids deserve a comprehensive curriculum that includes arts, civics, financial literacy, and STEM. I’ll fight for summer jobs and youth opportunity programs, like Recreation Worcester and Green Corps to provide them with life and career skills.

  • We need to address the gender wealth gap. I’ll work to expand childcare for working parents and create pipelines for mothers, women, and girls to good-paying jobs in tech, business, and the trades.

  • Our roads and sidewalks are in need of repair, and I will secure funding to fix potholes, repaint crosswalks, and add lighting to improve walkability. Protecting and beautifying our parks and open spaces are essential to our good quality of life.

In addition to your vote, I need your financial support today.

Campaigns are community efforts, and we need your backing in order to reach every voter in the district, through mailings, door-to-door outreach, and by phone.
